This was the time when engines took a quantum leap forward,Tillotson butterfly carbs took over, and tyres got wider with the introduction of Goodyear Blue Streaks.
Class 1b is the closest you can get to the fantastic racing of that era; after 50 years things have just got a bit more colourful.....
